Maintenance of SST SAP Transports Documentation
Overview
The Syniti Stewardship Tier (SST) on-site installations contain associated SAP Transports that help to build the system locally at client sites. During the progression of versions for SST, additional transports that provide functions and programs to assist core SST functionality have been added. These additional transports are considered supplementary while the core transports are the base by which the system is assembled.
The list of overall transports had continued to grow and become more cumbersome for the project and the clients. Therefore, from SST version 7.4.8 and forward this list is split into 2 sets of transports:
-
Core transports - Functions/programs required by SST to extract data via RFC and load via BDC. These transports are distributed with the Stewardship Tier installation in versions 7.4.8 and later.
-
Supplementary transports - All other functions/programs of the installation. Users must contact support to get these.
This document provides the following details for maintaining SST SAP Transports:
Storage Location for Documentation Related to SST SAP Transports
The base documents are stored in Microsoft Word in Syniti Sharepoint in the Published folder.
From this level the documents are split in version dependent or Version Independent folders.
Technical Configuration Guides
Installation and Security Guide documents are stored within this Sharepoint folder Technical Configuration Guides.
There are both Word documents and Adobe PDF versions of each document stored as the base. The PDF versions are then attached to KB Articles that provide details by version.
The image below provides examples of files stored in this folder.
SAP Transports
These documents are attached to the KB Articles for supporting documentation on SAP Transports for the version of SST. The Syniti Sharepoint folders store Word and PDF files for each set of SAP Transports including, for example, SAP ECC Master Data Management Transports, or SAP S4HANA Master Data Management Transports.
The folders within this section list by version and within each folder are the documents for that particular version. The image below provides examples of files stored in this folder.
